Indigo Bacal ~

Maestra of feminine magic, Midwife of your magnificence, beauty devotee, hearth mama, fierce mover, soulful  shaker, and believer in miracles.

I’m a proud recovering-pessimist-turned-optimist, and your skillful guide through territories of reverence, beauty, and your own magnificence.

I serve creative + powerful women who know that they’re here to make a positive impact on the world around them. I awaken everyday feminine magic to reclaim ordinary pleasures, restore vitality, and stoke passionate inspiration. As a “Midwife” I support Inspired Female Leaders to bring their bold voices and beautiful visions into the world.

My offerings include hip-swaying, soul-stirring live events, radically supportive deep dives for individuals and groups, and wildly beautiful web-based global rituals.

I live in beautiful Boulder, CO with my loving, devoted, and WILD husband + our spirited, miraculous daughter. We celebrate life regularly with our beloved community ~ a group of courageous, creative folks who are fiercely committed to individual and collective evolution.

My spiritual teacher and friend is a humble, wise man who has taught me to “stop crying and create something beautiful instead”. I will forever be grateful to him and to the spirit of Ayahuasca for helping me change the way I think and feel…things that I never thought were possible.

True beauty is my spiritual path ~

I’ve followed this path through exotic lands, otherworldly initiations, heartbreak, and wildly abundant blessings. I’ve sat with the traditional plant medicine and Teitas in Colombia, South America along-side my four year old, lived under avocado trees in Hawaii, and taught Yoga to adults and children for more than 10 years internationally in India, Canada, the Bahamas, and New York City during the 9/11 crisis.

I started dancing as soon as I started to walk, and haven’t stopped since. I’ve been the sincere yogini-devotee living the austere ashram life, and the island-hopping dancing gypsy living in a tent. I had a stint as a preschool teacher in Oregon, and a Jewelry Designer in New York City.

I spent my entire 20’s as a traveler searching within and without for the answer to this question: Who am I and what am I here to do?

What it took for me to finally answer that question, was a life changing journey toward death herself and back. Just weeks after giving birth to my daughter, I nearly died. For real. I lost most of the blood in my body, my organs began shutting down, and I traveled between the worlds. When I heard the doctors say they’d remove my womb to save my life, I literally rose from the dead with a profound, “No!”

I’d finally found my voice.

From that ‘no’ blossomed a ‘YES’ and from that nightmare blossomed a vision. From this Initiation blossomed my life’s work.

As soon as I could walk again and get out of the house, I found myself dancing to African drums before an altar devoted to the Great Mother. During that ritual dance, I received my life’s purpose with unmistakable clarity:

A voice within spoke, “I am a midwife.”

For some time, I took this literally. I trained as a birth and postpartum doula, learned and practiced womb massage, attended women during + after childbirth, and initiated groups of women into motherhood.

Yet I quickly recognized that my offering transcends literal motherhood. I’m a midwife of feminine magic for all women. And giving birth to ourselves is as rich, wild, and beautiful as birthing babies.

Sometimes the most painful situations are the greatest blessings of our lives.

In the spirit of courageous authenticity and juicy truthsaying ~

I’d like to share with you my magnificence, my fears, the feminine magic up my sleeve, and the story of how my Voice was born.
